Fall Is On Its Way

It’s September and that means lower temperatures, leaves changing colors and pumpkin spice lattes!  It also means its time to think about fall decor.  At Good Juju the booths are packed full of Autumn decor sure to inspire you.

From real pumpkins to handmade pumpkins they are perfect for Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving.   

A little rust and crust and aged wood goes perfect with this time of year.  And this cute little scarecrow compliments both very well.

Natural elements are also perfect and are oftentimes cheap or free and add a lot of character to your fall decorating.  Corn ears, apples, pinecones and corn stalks all add harvest cheer without breaking the bank.

Also, mums are a staple to fall decorating. They look amazing in hanging baskets, on a porch or part of a fall themed tablescape.

It’s hard not to think about apple picking, apple butter and apple pie in the Fall time.  Adorable little signs like this apple sign accents can be found throughout the store and looks great in the kitchen all year round.

Cute little critters like these owls also make a big statement when decorating your home for fall.  These little guys would look cute on a mantle and can also be used for Christmas decor by adding a bow and other winter themed decor.

5 Spring Must Have's

Who doesn’t enjoy adding a few new things to their home and their wardrobe as the seasons are changing? Here are a few ideas for how to bring some fresh fashions into your life this Spring without breaking your budget: 

1)     A pretty sun hat – perfect for gardening or an afternoon tea party. Wearing a unique style accent like one of these cute hats will make your friends and neighbors want to know where you have been shopping. 

2)     Vases for fresh cut flowers – think outside of the box – use vintage pitchers, antique apothecary bottles, mason jars – anything that holds water as a statement piece flower vase.

3)     An artistic piece for the garden – iron, tin, wood – anything with an appealing architectural shape. Get out the spray paint if you want to change the color of your new garden piece.

4)     The perfect front porch chair – something comfortable for relaxing at the end of a long day. Add a colorful pillow in an outdoor fabric that ties in with your home’s exterior color scheme.

5)     Cheerful drink glasses - for entertaining friends or for enjoying a quiet moment to yourself. Lemonade and iced tea will be even more refreshing when served in a fun, vintage glass.

Decorating a Room With Color

Decorating a room can sometimes feel overwhelming. You pin posts on Pinterest or find pictures on the internet, then look at your room and try to figure the best way to get things organized and put together. What many of us forget, are how the smallest things in a room can bring it all together or, how the smallest element can add drama to any room or space. For instance, you can take one of those inexpensive gaudy mirrors and paint it and put trinkets in the same color all around it - this adds a focal point to any room.

I love the way this person decided to add lots of color to a plain white wall. They used white shelving to add color groupings of their collectibles along with matching pillows and rug to add pizzazz to their white room.
